I was jus puttin my DTM mirrors on my car yesterday, got them all lined up nice and straight before i tightened the screws securing the baseplate and mirror from the inside and........ &*%@# where the screws go into the baseplate, the bits on the baseplate are jus turning with the screws! So now i cant tighten the baseplate to the car so it jus hangs off and i cant take the baseplate back off the car bcoz i cant loosen the screws! lol any1 else had this and any help wud be grateful.

youve done something up to tight and snapped the pegs you screw into.
take whatever screws of fyou can, rip the rest off, then either drill and screw another place or araldite the pegs back on

yeah the pegs are turnin with the screws, i think the screws mite be jus a little to big for the pegs? I cant get any of the screws out theyre all stuck! Looks like ill have to rip it off :x

lol, i remember that problem when i fitted m3's to my sr.
i managed to get a pair of long nosed pliers in to hold the black thing tight while i undid the screw. then it was a case of sticking it back on tight with some fibreglass. that held it still enough to put the screws back in

You will have to do that, BUT rather than long-nose pliers, do what i did (when it happened to me once) and use thos flat/wide electricians plier things that you would use to strip wires and etc. You KNOW what i'm on about. lol

yep good ideas! think they are wire strippers?? lol not that it matters i know wot ya mean! Jus enough gap to get them down aswell
