big carbs?

can i upgrade the carbs on my 1.2 carb 1990 nova? Mk1

Yes, you can fit Weber carbs for increased acceleration etc.
the 32/34DTML weber fit Novas. But you would have to get them jetted(set up for your particular engine).

You may be able to fit Twin 40 carbs as well, but i ain't 100% sure.

But for the cost compared to benefits a 32/34 can be picked up second hand off here for about ?80. Well worth it, easy to fit yourself as well as long as they have been jetted to your engine and have the carrect adaptor plates etc.

twin 40's will fit the 1.2 cause the head is almost exactly the same as the 1300. Just make sure u get the right manifold.

The 32/34 is a good route cause it uses less fuel than 40's and u still get a power increase.
