Getting rid of pop ups!

its getting silly now, i have about 15 appear when i open the intenet page, 1 from bass junkies (ive only been on thr site once) about 10 from a games site (i dont even use gaming sites) and junk mail from msn/hotmail and yahoo etc!

its daft, they also appear when i open another window!

and, when i try to close them, they crash my computer and freeze it, meaning i have to pull the plug as i get no responce from ctrl, alt and delete!

so how can i stop them form appearing on my comp?

get lavasoft adaware 6 and scan with that, get a pop up blocker (try download.com) and see how it goes then

If you connect to the net through AOL there's an option for blocking pop ups there f**king annoying :evil:

lol, not too keen on the idea of hitting the comp with a sledge hammer, even though its tempting, but as ive spent almost ?2k on it, i think ill scrap that idea!

its getting even worst now, i cant even play games (CM4 and Roller Coaster Tycoon :D ) nor can i open programmes, and now when the comp crashes in anything, the ctrl, alt and delete command doesnt even work either!

and too top it off, i cant install anything as it crashes and the only things that do work is microsoft word (but cant save it if i add pictures) and the internet which is borderline!

i give up!

Get the Google toolbar, it blocks pop ups and makes it a lot easier to search for stuff without having to go to Google.com everytime.

Or use Mozilla Firefox 8, has a built in pop up blocker and a google serach bar.

I use it, and highly recommend it.

Also, use AdAware to remove spyware/adware, as it seems like you have a lot of that on your pc.
