View Full Version : gte ecu in a gsi?
I've been told the ecu from the gte perform's abit better than that in the gsi-so i got a gte ecu and whacked it in my gsi but it wouldn't start (like it was imobilised but wasn't) are they coded or something? Will i ever get it working? Also does anyone know if they are definately better/quicker? I was told it would push my performance up by 3-4 bhp

im not 100% sure but there are 2 types, bosch and siemens and wouldnt of thought they would be interchangable.

the GTE had a bosch ECU for 1 or 2 years then switched to a siemens one
the early (upto 93) gsi's had the siemens one too
they are not interchangable and if your GTE and GSi both have SIEMENS and WA printed on them then they are the same ECU
if not they aint and they are not compatible
what does late gsi run ecu wise ? name?

late GSi was GM Multec-MPi
