i can get this
http://www.epson.co.uk/product/imaging/projector/emps1/spec.htm
for 1000 notes (euros that is ;) )
is it going to be up to being a TV for average use? or am i best off waiting a bit for the LCD tv's to get bigger and cheaper?

the only thing about using a projector as a tv is that you would need to keep curtains closed and lights off all the time for the best results.
If you would use it mainly for gaming or watching movies, then it would be perfectly good enough.
Projectors are a brilliant idea, expecially if you have a surround sound system aswell, it's like having a mini cinema. :)
John
well ive got the surround sound stuff. although being a year old its time for some new stuff lol
and as it is i have to have the curtains closed and lights off just to see the TV in the lounge, so it wont be much different to normal lol
just wondering how long the bulb will last etc and hiow much new bulbs are

plus, you can prpject porn onto the neighbours wall.
Or fit it under a bonnet scoop, drive to some car-park and etc, and project porn on the wall. Charge for pay per view.

Stu, Don't get that one, its only 800x600
See if you can get 1024 x 768 and XVGA instead of SVGA :)
We use Infocus ones at work, I like them :)
