alright guys, had a go takin off the standard bumper today, got some q's if u could help me out at all!! 8) right, i only had 2 bolts holding it on from inside the boot. There's 2 little bolts holding it on where the mud flaps join on, but thats it. so getting it off isnt a problem, but i think putting the Gsi on will, as there's the black "clips" on the side of the arch that the bumper slides into, if u get me? theres no male part of the clips on the Gsi bumper to slide into the ones on the arch. does everyone else have these, or do u take em off and glue it down? another thing, on the inside of the current bumper is a metal strip that holds the brackets that puts the bolts through the boot, do i need to exchange this onto the GSi? because theres nothing inside my Gsi! Please help, im desperate to get this baby on and its frustrating!!
hope this makes sense, and thanks for any help!
Chris
black "clips"
im guessing ur nova is a MK1 then?
u dont need those clips if ur fitting a MK2 bumper, just remove them
ull need to drill 2 small holes in the side of the arch to secure the bumper

i take it u mean the bar that runs the length of the bumper with mounting points attatched?, if thats what u mean then yes
as daz said just take off the rubber things and drill the holes through, did my back bumper the same the other day.

G reg MK2?!, the earliest MK2's are H reg, it sounds like ur car has already been converted from MK1 to MK2
get the bumper fitted then line it up @ the sides, you'll see where u need to drill once its all in place
