oops
i spanked "wor lasses" car last night
mine was off road while i waited for twin 40 parts and i dove the green machine whilke it had no tax mot or insurance!

s slight comeing together with 2 cars cortesy ov a nice corsa van driver with no indicators and a roit van that had came charging up behind me (i was looking at coppers more than tit in van in front)

i swerved to miss van only scort was coming towards me

i hadnt got round to fitting the carrier bar for the front bumper!

bumper fell off

slight dent in both front wings (easy fix)
drivers wheel (reno 36mm offset stuck right out in arches) took most ov the impact and pushed itself backwards a bit

escort recked (door, wing, bumper, headlight)
corsa van v slight dent and scuff in back quarter)

i gave my detials and told em i was mega late and had to leave pronto

got 2 mile away drive shaft popped out got towed to girl friends house.

now what i want to know is where do is stand with regards to police?
i havent gave a statement i wasnt givin a producer, can they seek me out and give me one in say 1 weeks time?

insuranec company for escort has all ready been in touch and said they will repair car and bill me direct(and setup direct debits so it dont cast me much a month to pay it all back)

what do u think?

y were you driving that car in the first place ! if you had hit a child or a person, what would have happened then. I have no sympathy for you what so ever. twice, my car has been hit by people with no insurance and its cost me a fortune to fix my car each time. If your car was only off the road while you wait for your 40's parts, why didn't you just get a lift/bus/taxi/train/walk/whatever !!
sorry to bitch, when all you really want is advice, but this type of thing really pisses me off, its the same as the bloke a few months back on here who had got a producer when he was riding a moped with no insurance.

You are right of course, Damian, but to err is to be human and we all screw up and we all take chances at times that could lead to big shit disaster for others & ourselves. Just driving endangers others lives so don't be too hard on Micky.
Micky u've got to wait and see but it dont look good. I'm afraid you've got to hope that the old bill aren't too dilligent.

U say U had no insurance and no MOT. The only thing that may get U out a trouble is to A. To get the story RIGHT and stick to it
B. say that you where going to the garage to have some work done because you are allowed to travel to and from garage i think with out MOT not sure on insurance but say you did not continue your journey as you were to "shaken up" and was not sure because of the damage if you were going to bother getting the car fixed and wanted to seek advise from father/brother/God whatever you decide on STICK TO IT

ermm well scine i live about 25 miles away from work and my girlfriend i had to drive to i would still get payed money
