I've got some sport carbs that i plan on fitting to my SRi but does the sport manifold fit the SRi? or will i need a knew one? thanx, Dave
u will need a new one. I think that you may also need new petrol lines etc, cos ur going from injection to carbs. Not sure tho.
You will need a 1200/1300 carb head from a nova. The sports were 1.3, but the manifold will go on 1.2's.
1600 gsi inlet should work
with regards injection pump and lines the fuel pressure will be much greater than you need, fuel pressure regulator and your sorted

cheers will, that sounds more like it, i will double check first tho, so the carbs will fit on the inlet manifold coz i thought they were different coz of the injection rail and that, then again i dont know much about the inlet side of things

you need to fit a new inlet manifold, this will remove all of your injeciton stuff and fuel rails - thats all surplus
as will said - 1600 inlet is fine.
id KEEP the 1400 head, and get a 1600 TBH the head is much better flow charcterisitics than any 1200.

so its as simple as that? 1600 gsi/gte inlet manifold and i can stick the sport carbs straight on? will i need a new fuel regulator?

not the manifold off an actual GSI/GTE they are totally wrong.
U need a Weber manifold that matches the t40's.
Imaging 4 empty toilet rolls glued together side by side. They look along those lines.

yer u need an inlet manifold for fitting twin carbs to a 1600GTE/GSi not the original 1600 inlet
u will need a pressure regulator and some kinda return to the fuel tank unless u wanna frag the regulator and you will most definetly need the carbs fully rejetted at a weber specialist rolling road

lol, i know what they look like, i work for ford motorsport! some one was sayin i needed a 1600 inlet manifold, i thought that they meant a 1600 gte/gsi manifold and i just couldn't see it happenin eh! i think i'll just try and get a bigger throttle body big induction kit and a cam.

 some one has to lol :D
fcuking ford and their homo employment "rules" a 2:2 with my experience is as good if not better than a muppet with a 2:1 or 1st lol. oh well
