they are for multipoint injection cars only.

on a carb car or similar it will only operate on one cylinder.

thus having on lean "clean burn" cylinder and all the other stay the same. youll get odd bore wear and basically knacker your engine is the short of it.

over a long period of time of course.

i suppose really what it boils down to is the inlet manifolds.

without confusing you - on novas it wont work.

the ecotek fits inline of the brake servo vacum hose.

god knows how the widget works - its clever.

anyway.

on novas, on multipoin injeciton the brake servo connect to the inlet plenum, which means it will work on all cylinders.

when carbs are used, any carb from 1.2 - 1.6 (this includes both vaux/GM AND twin 40 or aftermarket carb inlets!) on vauxhalls the servo hose is on the fourth branch closest to the brake servo.

what you may find is on other manufacturers cars, the servo hose *MIGHT* connect to somewhere on the inlet before the branches, so again this would work and be fien because it would work on all four cylinders NOT just one

HTH ?

it works by leaning out the fuel mixture

they are a pile of shite and shouldnt be put anywhere near a performance engine

yes snowface.

and tricky nova - they DO help on fuel bills and do have good advantages, but ONLY on multipoint injection cars 8)
