1.3sr tuning

well just wnat to know what people think is the best way to start making the sr go faster?

already have been offered a new head, big valve springs, polished and ported.

what else can be done?

Switch the carb for Weber 32/34DTML (you can pick them up second hand for about ?25), or if you have a bit more cash then some T40s

Even with the new head and weber carb the increase in bhp is not gonna be massive. ou should easily beat a standard 1.4SR though.

would be interesting to see how my tuned 1.3 would stand up to a 1.4sr?

(gotta get mine R/r cause it feels like 70-80+ ponies compared to its original 55.)

The power difference between the 1.4sr and the standard 1.3sr is put down to the cam and its slightly larger capacity. The head/inlet manifold is not as good as 1.3 i don't think.

If u put a 1.3sr cam in a 1.4sr then i think the 1.4 performance would be about the same as the 1.3.

no it wont coz i bent all the valves on my 1400 head and i could only get i 1300 so i fitted the 1300 head and cam and it was exactly the same
