Well it's finally happened and the 6 of us have a home for working on our cars. It's 1,200 sqft of workspace. It'll have 3 bays where cars can be worked on, an engine build area and welding/grinding area just for Tom....... lmao In the far corner will be the electronics/ICE area for Phil and I. We already have one engine commission and another just come in from Bulgaria, LOL. Not bad for a hobby.

Anyway here's some pics uf us sorting out the mess it's in at the moment.

Where abouts is it?

And you willing to rent a 'bay' out for novaload members if work needed doing, people could help etc, kinda like what cp or who ever it is on here has a barn or something.

Hi all,

The unit is about 2-3 years old I'd guess and is costing us ?300 a month. We got it to work on our cars specifically though if there is space we'll allow select people to use it as well. It'll cost ?10 a day should this arise and is the same for everyone other than the 6 of us renting it. We will want to start looking at ICE installs for other people as well as building some killer engines with either TBs, carbs (if we must) and Turbos.

I'm really looking forward to getting "X" in there and finishing off the engine bay, it's a runner but not finished enough to post a picture  Sorry, got to keep you waiting.

good price.. round here it's ?2.90/sqft/yr

watch out u don't get busted running it as a business.. also any non renters/owner arn't covered by insurance etc to work on cars, also check your letting aggrement for sub letting

i had all this when i was looking for a place last year.... now i just work out of borrowed workshops

Yes, we've looked at all that Ste, bit of a headache. But, as we're really more of a club than a business and the landlord is well aware of exactly what we're doing we shouldn't run foul of any rules.

Not like we're actually making any money at this, LOL.
