... Apparently were brand new, matter of a couple of hundred miles old, linkages studs gaskets (new) manifold carbs and all other 2.0 xe associated bits other than the ignition system and fuel reg and pump for ?500... Do i bite his hand off if they are new? if they arent brand new carbs are they still worth near this? cheers

There is a rebuilt XE with T45's with all the gubbins for ?500!!!

Look on Mig or Ebay. Its on both.

Sounds a bit pricy to me mate. I paid approx ?500 for a set of new carbs, sbd manifold, linkage, fuel pump and gaskets. Although i did get a discount on that.

Try ringing a supplier and gettin a price for a similar set up then compare it to the set up you are being offered.

You will save alot buying second hand, though the carbs may need servicing. Servicing kits dont cost alot though.

i have been to see them

?500 quid for webber 45 dcoe 152 (latest type) linkages, bolts, new set of gaskets, sbd manifold, pre jetted, have seen them running, sound nice, trumpets etc all included along with banjo fitments etc etc...

reason the guy is selling them is because he's bought steel rods, lightened fly, 48s and cams, for his xe nova. :wink: mad
