I think it looks quite cool, hey it could have been worse, he could have used the same sh1t to cover the whole door card and the handles too, that would have looked well tacky, I think the balance is about right.

did them on the weekend just gone

id say they took 2 hours each card.

quite a lot of time but i wanted ot get it right.

hardest thing i think was operating the Singa sowing machine! and sowing a PERFECTLY :D straight line down the centre. having said that the speed was set to 0.5 LOL

Vinal to vinal? Are you sticking vinal over the top of it? If so, then this wont work.

trying to do something with my roof lining. So i was planning on sticking a sheet of vinyl over it and poking it under the edges around the seals etc

why wont it work jim?

Depending on the vinal that you get, it'll probably be too thick to go on top of the current rooflining and underneath the seals. Also, the generally spray cleaning agents onto the original fabric. This means that the glue wont bond to it as well as it should do. You could try rubbing the roof lining down with thinners, but make sure you dry the roof lining off before glueing vinal to it. Even then, I can't gaurentee this will work. Best bet is to get a new roof lining made up, but this can cost a fair bit.

well i've got the vinyl left over from the stereo build so it's not gunna cost me anything. It's only thin and will definately fit under the seals. But i have a tear in my roof lining. Only small but before that, it was mint. i just need to know what the best glue to use is!

Halfords sell spray glue which is used for gluing carpet to sub boxes. I've used it before and it's pretty good stuff. it will probably do the job. If you can't see any in Halfords then go to a fabric specialist and ask if they have some.

Just remember to clean the headlining with thinners first.

i've got spray glue! i get it for ?1 for the large spray. It's the autoleads stuff. But it goes everywhere. I might try that impact adhesive stuff. Paint it on both side, let it dry and then stick it on!
