2.0 8v sri injecion on a 1.6 nova

i have been looking at how i can tune the 1.6 engine cheaply in a mate of mines nova gte. as i have removed the injection from my 2.0 8v nova in favour of carbs i was wondering if the injection would work on the 1.6 8v.
the reason i want to do this is because the air flow meeter is much larger on the 2.0 and i know that this is one of the main restrictions on the gte injection system.
ill be using the whole 2.0 loom injectors ecu afm etc...

has this been done before and does it work

it would work mate but the nova gte ecu would have to be remapped coz the 2.0 8v jets would pile the feul in and kill the car

can't see why not.... wouldn't overfuel cause it only adds fuel for the air that is sucked...... try it and see

I would interested to see how this goes cos i was thinking of adding a 2.0 afm to my e16se. Would you also be using the 2.0 injectors?

yeah. the only thing i can see that will stop me at the mo is the knock sensor as the gte doesnt have one :?: so there will be knowhere to put the one off the 2.0 injection

it may have to be mounted to the side of the block somewhere just so it is there
