alright, just throught i would post my site on here and get some feedback, its for my virtual cars (photoshoped)

This is a fucking template site. You only have to go to all the other cruise site to see thier forums have the same template and registration form etc. Just the colours are different

Also, this is a forum. They HAVE to look pretty similar even if you try not to make them so due to the fact of how they display information and etc.

Forums work by using templates, otherwise they wouldn't be able to adjust dynamically according to the content.

When it comes to websites, it's completely different.

ok, so i just had another look at that site.

There isn't anything wrong with it to be honest, except the homepage looks very dull. All text is same style and colour. The header looks great, as do most of the 'shops (even the page with them all on is good too).

And what i meant about template sites is that they all look the same and are too 'standard'. When making a site for photo-shops, it'd be better to use a bespoke one since that's the whole essence of 'photoshoped cars' too.
Personally i feel that the header looks great, as do the photoshopped cars.

I'd also reconsider the background image, it's just 'too much'. Use something more subtle or just a pastel colour.

Marty, soory mate, didn't mean to cause offence. i was just pointing out that this was a template site. Most sites are. The all are based on frames usually with a from at the top, and left that navigate the central fram. It is the content that makes the site.

I dont use the internet for fun only to research info and prices etc so as long as the information i need is easy to read and well caterorised, i'm happy. It's all about personal preference so once again, sorry if i offended yuo. It was not intentional

And, PurpleNova, don't worry you didn't cause offence. I didn't intend to cause any offence or make it look like i was having a go at anyone with my original post and/or reply either.

I guess i should have expanded on why i thought that, rather than just stating 'god i hate template sites'. I don't even hate them in particular, a lot of them are very well done and the stucture of most websites is still linear so templates lend themselves exceptionally well to that. But if you find and use a 'good' template, it's likely that other sites will be using the same one, so then it's more difficult to stop people from making carbon copies of your own sites.

This is why i like sites scripted in Flash and Action Script, as you can really break the mould and go against the grain. I mean, why conform? lol
