Re-Profiled Cam!

I'll be sending my 1300 to get rebuild at the end of this month. Cam's are very espensive, so was wondering what your guys thoughts were on Re-Profileing a cam? Is it worth doing?

yes. its about half the price and you can get exactly what you want.

I agree. I have a reprofiled cam cuz I'm a lowly peasant. Never compared with billet cam but reprofiled is great. Does the job and cheap. Didn't have to faff around with verniers with mine either

you are limited to lift and duration with a reprofiled cam because they only have so much material to play with,

i have been told to stay away from them by a guy i know who builds engines for a living.

if you have the money, get a new one machined from a solid billet. Much better all round
