do the clear side indicators pass the MOT?

Yeh they do mate aslong as the bulb is orange

if u got orange bulbs wiv clear repeater covers then they will pass the mot
they will only fail if the light that is emmitted is not orange

what if you got no side repeaters??

ive a feeling my mot will become a pain in the ass when its due

If you have'nt got any don't think it will matter but if you have they have to flash orange you should be ok

if ur car was built after 1986 (i think) it must have side repeaters that work and show an orange light otherwise it will fail, if the car was built before 1986(once again i think thats the right yr) then it doesn't have to have side repeaters, but if it does have them then they must work and emmit an orange light

u can get away with having no side repeaters on a MK2 Nova because the front indicators wrap round the wing and there visible from the side of the car, point that out to the MOT tester and u should be OK :)

my mk1 failed with no side repeators

have done as purple nova said and bought some stick on oval ones and ran the wire up into the arch

gonna take em off ater tomorrows re-test :D

most mk1's will.

It was only pre 85's that didn't need them.
