boot release

When the tailgate is flushed on a Nova how is the boot opened, I have heard something about a fiesta solenoid is this right or are there other ways.

Get a solenoid that pulls then releases. Place it in boot preferably opposite the opening mech. and connect it up to the rod that opens the boot.

Run a live wire to a switch then from the switch to the + of the battery. Earth the solenoid to the boot

I have had a relay fitted to mine so that when the ignition is on the boot will not open. A bloody good idead incase some twat opens the boot when you are cruising along.

keith ive just flushed my arse mate and i got a xr2I solenoid to open it ill let u know how its go`s at the weekend coz at the minuite im just using a bit ov coat hanger to get in!
