gsi brake servo

is the gsi brake servo and master cylinder better than one from a standard 1.2 carb nova?? (stronger, etc)


by the way its a 1992 gsi, and a 1991 1.2 carb.

and gsi brakes (calipers discs etc) are better than 1.2 nova ones arent they. the haynes dont realy say, just says the discs are thicker and vented (so a bit better at least)

Yes and yes

The brake servo/cylinder is bigger on the gsi/gte's

The disks are vented which makes them better at dispersing heat, therefore making them better

Alex is right on tho I will add that the Astra/Cavalier 256 brakes are much better and can be found down most scrappies. New discs and pads of course and away you go. If you've got bigger wheels you might think of a V6 conversion.
