1.6 into 1.3

another one then, if i fitted a 1.6 gte lump minus injection and stuck a set of 40ies on there could i use the original 1.3 sr wiring loom or will i have to change a few things??? :? :?

you could use the sr loom.

u would be better switching to the 1.4 sr ignition system (i dont think the 1300 dizzy would fit anyway) as its more powerful and u'll need some kinda fuelpump sorted out cos the gte has a blank over the hole where the pump should go on the 1300

he didn't ask about the ignition system. He asked about the cars loom. And he can still use that.

He will use whatever ignition is fitted to the engine going in.

There is no 'engine loom' on a carbed engine. Unless it has electronic ignition which the 13 doesn't. The only wires attached to the engine will be the alternator, startor motor, water temp sender, oil press sender and these are all attached to the CARS loom.

yeh but a 1.6 with carbs needs this electronic ignition. i wanna know how hard it'll b to put in a 1.4 loom

it.s not hard. Keep the cars loom and leave the engine loom on the engine.
