ZZzzzzzzzzz if you want to talk abt liverpool victoria i wont waste forum space add me to msn and ill tell you the exciting story, the short of it being you will get a different story everytime you ring them up...

1.1 engine now?

dam i feel so lucky that they will quote me on my merit when i renew in may (21 in 10 days) lmfao

if they can beat ?290 then ill consider it but prob be happier with sum1 not as dodgy tbh

for the under 19s who want conversions insured there is little choice but to test the water and see what LV have to say

i was 18 when i put a 1300sr bottom end in my 1200. I'm with LV and i said it was a 1300 merit (which it is) and i'm insured on tpft for ?860.

I paid it all at once. I said what about mods they said somthing like 'they will consider that if i make a claim but not to worry bout them for now'.

That means your fucked! if you have a crash, they will consider the mods and say FUCK OFF and you will be in court. Get it sorted for you own interests.

For (Long Live The Nova) i am paying ?1400 Tpo, they said ?200 more and i could have fire and theft but i only paid ?500 for it and i anit losing a possible 2 years no claims for a ?500 car, it dropped that much for one years no-claims to start with.

you have 1 years no claims and you are paying that much on a ?500 pound nova for third party only? your being mugged mate. Unless you live in theiving scouser land!

well i do live in chelmsford (county town), i guess its alot cause all the thief's come down from brentwood to steal down here (not saying u are). U cant do nothing about insurance quotes, it was either 1k for my punto 1.1 unmodded or ?1400 for a modded nova.

i've rang them up twice about it. I said that i've modded my engine and they asked had i put a bigger one in (bigger than my insuranced 1300), i say no they say thats fine doesn't matter.

I can't remember what the dude actually said but as a company LV don't mind mods as much as other companies, several people on here will second that i'm sure.

I'm with liverpool victoria and i'm cancelling mine.

Eagle Star quoted half the price. So i phone up LV and you dont get any penalties if you cancel your policy early so i'm swapping over just before my next monthly payment.

hehe, CIS were "mod friendly" - and that was their staff that told me that in person - and then i found out *AFTER* renewing that they in fact weren't and had made my 1.2 into a group 6 (!!!) and demanded another ?70 quid. As in we want it yesterday. Phoned up the underwirters and got it sorted tho.

Hence why i'm with HIC now...
