A red nova sr that was on max power year ago when max power was for real cars that could be used! It was red with irmscher twin headlights and irmscher spoked wheels (bit like series 1 rs turbo wheels) any one remeber it or have the mag with it in to tell me the month save me digging throw all my old mags in the back of the cupboard? Cheers!

I have it, it's in a mag from 94/95 so that should save a bit of time lol, I have it on one of the first max power videos too, some air pilot dude owned it. Classy motor :)
It was owned by JD Haslam, He was an AEORONAUTICAL ENGINEER, not a pilot!!! He did his degree at Salford Uni while I was there. Last time I sawe him was in 1997 when PNG/VPCC went to a regional meet in Lincoln
He ruined it by chopping the arches away to fit 17" venoms and i wonder where he is now???

The car still lives - albeit in his garage at the moment !!
Bumped into him 2 years ago whilst at donny show
He's hoping to resurect it and restore it to its former glory and use it at track days !!!

the whhels can no longer be bought new, a friend has the last set available from irmscher uk sat in his gagage new still in the box but he wont part with them!

In 94/95 graphics were considered D'Rigeur, and every car had them! That is the only thing that has really aged on the car. If someone built a carbon-copy now, it would be a "oooh" and "wow" moment!!
I also noticed he got his Engelmann/Manta400 mirrors to fit much straighter than a lot of the ones I've seen. He must have used some kind of spacer I think.
Single wiper and astra GSI bonnet vents were hyper-cutting edge back then!!

gets my vote, remeber reading max power at school aged 14/15 and thinking I want a nova like that! Suppose that car started my whole nova intrest off! :roll:

Obviously you haven't read the post properly. The pictures are from 1994/96.
It may not look anything special now, but it was back then!!!!
Bloody hell Rick, the second picture was at Cheadle Royal by the looks of it. the number of nova's at the meet doesn't look to have changed too much though in all these years :lol:

Actually, that was the first ever meet in 1996, there were over 60 cars there!!!!! There were only 3 valvers at the time (Brett W, D France and J Haslams in the pics)
John Walsh turned up also and there was a 60-nova convoy to the McDonalds at Stockport (where some woman in a Cinqechento nearly got mobbed after opening her dooe on the carpark into someones |nova and walked off while there were 120 witnesses!!!)
