twins look shit on a Nova.

For light conversion/transplant (i.e. from a different make/model) you're looking at ?cost of new light units + ?600plus for labour (re-shape wings/bonnet, re-spray, and wiring).

Shit, just realsied you were on about a front light conversion not rear, what a WxxxxR eah.

I like front twins on nova, the one which is lights and grill as one complete unit.

its cheap enough to do yourself, get urself a couple of mk2 wings(there easier to cut and shape) then the slam panel and lights from the car of ur choice then make them work together. sorry thats a bad explanation but using a welder some fibreglass and filler and a anglegrinder and any light will fit and work

didn't say it was that easy more a case of can u overcome the pain of cutting up your car panels and weding in new bits to do it then just time and patience blending it in. No great wizardry involved just a lot of time and patience and an eye for what would look right.

That looks the bee's knee's what are you useing there for indicators (side repeaters if so does yours flash fast?)

2litreturbo
05-03-04, 11:44 PM
yeah they do flash fast! but i'm gunna wire two bulbs in just hidden away so they flash normal speed!

Thats what i had to do and just rap a bit of black tape round them and tuck them away out of sight.
I'v spoke to a couple of others about them flashing fast and thay recon deamon tweeks sells a relay that slows them down but never had the chance to have look in a cateloge.
Another thing are the front bumper indicators bright enough i'v tryed all kinds of repeaters and can't find any that seem bright enough,I'v already been stopped by the law for them not being bright enough and just been warned that there on the border line but i should do somthing about it along with another producer.

what about fittin summat along the lines of mk2 golf indicators in the bumper
would that not cure the brighntness problem

2litreturbo

you want GTI-R side repeaters on the front bumper same as mine. They are easily bright enough!!!

if your gona buy a relay to slow the indicators down don't buy it from tweeks they'll fcuk u up the ass for it. ring or go to your local maplins expalin what the relay is for and they'll have 1 cost u a pound max id recon.

geordie_racer
07-03-04, 12:18 PM
yeah the one at the metro's still there just go up 2 the components counter and explain you want a relay to slow down the rate your indicators flash and they'll get u wot u need

chris

2litreturbo
07-03-04, 12:28 PM
i always thought it was the resistance of the circuit that slowed the lights down, not the relay.

geordie_racer
07-03-04, 03:23 PM
could well be a resistor can't remember been awhile since ive looked at that sort of stuff but let maplins no wot u want to do and they'll sort it out for you
