Any ideas from any brainboxes on here would be greatfully taken in

tell her to take apart a proper one copy the ideas then build her own!

easy peasy i done this with a stereo sound mixer for one ov mine and passed!

I know, but cant b assed to explain as ive just got in from work! basucally it can work from a variable resistor! but mail me if u get stuck!!

ok its easy

2 resisters, in series. One resister is the fixed one. the other is a rotational one. What you do is connect a gauge up (voltmeter/ameter etc etc) to the fixed one, in parralel (or series depending on gauge) then as the rotational reister is turned, the currant going through the fixed one will alter accordingly. This will make the gauge rise and fall with the movement on it. this is connected to a float of some sort

This is known as a potential divider. Deadly accurate.

doubt novas use this method then
