Hey,

Has anyone done the 'Novaload' camber adjustment??

I am gonna need to do mine, once i've dropped her 60mm but dunno what is the best way to do it. Vauxhall elongate the mounting hole to form a slotted hole, meaning it is adjustable i think.

Anyone done either??

i did the strut top mounts, once done it will radically alter ur toe in/out so get it tracked, the offsetting of the hole, well i thought of that, but didnt want to be there all day with a file offsetting the hole, :D

ladies and gentlemen go out an buy two MK1 golf shock-hub bolts (top ones not bottom) oh and the nuts too.

they are offset and adjust the camber, also you need to elongate the top shock hole a bit, but it wont need much.

enjoy

When you say shock hub bolts do you mean the strut top mountings??

no

shock-hub means shockabsorber to hub mounts. the bit that bolts on where the brakes and wheel is etc.

the two 19mm bolts on there. replace the top one with a mk1 gold camber bolt and your sorted of adjustable camber.

yeh i did it and it worked a treat.. stopped my tyres wearing on the inside and handling feels better, you have to get tracking reset straight after tho.. although its quite funny driving round like it

Nice one.....I am guessing that is the right hand side (O/S) strut top mount bit....with the wing on the righ of the pic...

And you reckon that worked good? Did you have any problems?

Sorry for all the questions....just trying to work out the best way to do it before i start drilling holes in my car!

no it worked ok for me, the new hole is 7mm centre to centre from the old one.. i dont think this is the best way of doing it by def the cheapest ..

Yeah, I am going to go for either the vauxhall way, or as cambridge said, fitting a golf mk1 bolt.

You can also get camber adjuster for the mk2/3 golf for a couple quid, which just has a smaller section in the middle aloowing some adjustment without elongating the top mount hole. Plus for more adjustment you can fit to both shock-hub mounting holes.

better paying 5 quid for them including new nuts that 60+ quid for camber magic adjusters!

digging up an old post sorry but didn't want to start another new one.

So cambridge, all i need is a couple of mk1 golf bolts, and i don't need to drill the top holes on the hubs any bigger?

i'm not paying ?85 for these things on regal

i havn't used any. i'm enquiring. i'll mail the bloke on the skooby site and see what size they are. they look ideal if they are right size.

And only ?25.
