Had a garage fit my suspension kit the other day and the bodging bastards didnt put any bump stops on. Its a 60mm bilstein and if i hit a bump a massive clack comes from the suspension. Do i need to put bump stops back on will it effect the ride quality?
Cheers

it sounds like the cars bottoming out fitting bumpstops will just make the noise go away nothing more nothing less they will also prolong the life of ya suspension i think

They probably used your original top mounts and if they're worn like they usually are then that'll cause the bashing sound on bumps. Mine's 60mm drop too and I took em to a few places and they said the top-mounts were fine but in the end I changed them anyway and it made a world of difference!

yeah they may have been fine, but all that means is it would pass an mot. Sometimes fine isn't good enough

How much are top mounts? they a vauxhall part only? Bump stops are bein put on tomorrow and its gettin tracked so if the top mounts aint much ill go get some tomorrow from vauxhall.
