1.2i internal pump change - possible or not

with a 1.2i tank is it possible to change the internal pump to a 1.4/1.6 pump to fuel a valver? im sure ive herd this b4?

im running a cavalier external pump on my 1.2i tank to fuel a 1.6

The internal pump form a Mk5 escort will drop straight in, no mods.
Anyone else find the vectra pump a bit loud??
