id assume this runs in a simlar vain to a 1600 turbo conversion.

it WILL cost you a fair ammount of cash to get anything nearly reliable/worth it.

lower compression
Mappable ECU
Turbo
Manifold/s
IC
etc blah blah

the let manifold is too big as its from a big block engine (a 16v one too so the ports are different)

u'd need a proper manifold for the 1.6 8v

but im sure thats all covererd in the thread fester posted

he has an 1800 so the manifold could have a new flange welded to it i spose but would be a mission.

im unsure but if u managed to get the turbo itself on im sure you could wire up the let injection some how.

see thats what i was thinking being an 1800 big block using the LET in jection and loom and even turbo i spose it could be done loads a fuckin about tho easyer just to replace the whole engine

get a LET, saves all the mucking about, already got low comp pistons, turbo cams, turbo+manifold, oil feed+return, injection system etc, and they can be made reliable if well maintained.
+easy power can be gained from them with larger intercoolers and phase chips etc.

mate, i looked into it a while ago and it wouldn't be as much as you think. I spoke to paul at essex turbos, (for the turbo), a company in basildon (for the manifold and downpipe for any turbo), and a local automotive engineer about oil feed. cant remember the exact details but will dig them out and sort you a copy when i see ya!
