Check your engine earth strap! If it breaks the engine can try to use the accelrator cable as an earth path, The cable is too thin and just gets red hot and melts. Hope this helps :). Have you got a yaris wiper for sale? ;).

thats why the cable has no metal to metal contact with the car if it does then it is worn

Yep, like i said, the power cable melted the top layer of plastic off it, then the metal part touched the alternator , somehow! My earthstraps r fine, and i have a spare 30amp cable running from the alternator as a strap broke on me b4 so its like backup!!
