no they dont have the rear arb.

To change you undo the bolts each end and using a pole or bar thinner than the arb, poke it out. (in reality shamsh the fuck out of it) but make sure there is nothing the other side. You have to take both the back wheels off too.

as said. rob the one of your gte.

you need to make sure the car is level. else getting the bar in and out is a pain.

what i mean is dont jack one side at a time and attempt it.

jack the car. lower the chassis onto axle stands or bricks. remove both rear wheels.

undo the bolt on either side of the bar.

bash it out one way or tother.

in true haynes stylee fitting is the reverse of the removal  make sure you carry over the rubber thing in the middle of the bar also (seen from undernetah the rear beam)

You can get them off nova sr or gte/gsi. The ones Colin Smith sells are in car adjustable ones with rose joints. For rally use!

No mate i'm talking about rear arb's gte's & sr's dont have them they have front arb's only. Colin smiths rear-arb's can be on normal road cars.
They can be adjusted for in car adjustabling

Wrong mate, sr's and gte's have a rear arb, as do some of the diesels (TD's maybe, not sure).

I never said the adjustable ones cant be used on the road. But they were designed for rally use. Why would you want to adjust the antiroll bar on tarmac? Adjusting bit is for the canging surface found in rally!

he's talking about the adjustable rally ones which look like a weird thing its similar shape to back axle comes down to hubs i think. .

and yes my saloon had an anti roll bar but gofor gte ones as they are thicker especially the front ones

judging by what you said, implyed they cant be used on the road.

Anyway my gte didnt have a rear anti-rollbar & i've never seen one on sr's.

they are on every single one that left the factory get ya ass on the floor and look inside the back axle your as bad as a police man that tried telling me i had no spring in th back of my car. i got a floor mat out and told him to get on his news and look but he wouldn't

My gte didnt have one i've never seen one ever. All i've seen is a rearbeam & handbrake cable on the beam thats it. I think i would know if there was one on it. If it looks like the front arb i cant see where it would bolt to.

it doesnt look like front one its a straight bar under the axle . the axle beam is like a triangle with the cable on top well inside the beam is a metal bar which is rear roll bar it has no bends just straight and hidden

yeah definately worth getting a rear one. I wanna build a nova with independant rear suspension (double wishbone). Planning it now.

How are you going to go about it ,ie the wishbones hmm cav irs. Or balls out custom rally stuff. Should be a much more comfortable ride with the irs setup

nah want suspension from a smaller car. still looking at the mo. If not, then i wil luse the nova front suspension on the rear. Just use a dummy steering rack to control the toe in and out. Will also make it with adjustable camber. That way, i can use discs on the rear easily. Just need to sort out a handbrake.

Still lots of things to plan but getting there
