i want to put a 1.3 sr engine in

hi all just a quick question i want to put in a 1.3 sr engine in my nova it only has a 1.2 in at mo will i need to change gearbox as well. cheers :o :?

You don't NEED to, but you can if you want.

shouldnt need to change the gear box, if the 1.2 is carb then it will be a very easy swap.

best change if its not a five speed plus the sr has the close rtio box which is a bit nippier

i dunno, i can get off the line quicker than my mate in his SR. I can get to 30 or so quicker then he gets ahead (that's with me in a 1.2 4speed), but that could just be his driving.
