i'm after a ast2 cam. in all the adverts i've seen they are listed for a 1300, is the dizzy fitment the same for a 1400.

where's the cheapest place i can get one?

not in my experience.

but its an easy remedy.

the end of the cam shaft has the slot drive for the old stylee 1.3

but also has the hole drive for the 1.4

for some random reason the locating pin on the 1.4 dizzy is too long, and the dizzy wont slide into the cam shaft housing enough, neither will the pin locate in the cam.

to remedy this, simply remove about 5mm off the centre locating spindle of the dizzy. et voila!

thats EXACTLY what i had to do when i fitted the ast2 to my 1.4 ignition system.

cant be of any help in that department. i bought a complete engine that was barely run in.

cam and a few othe rbits n pieces are on mine. the bottom end is in devon. and the rest is history :P

dan bought one about 6 mnths ago......

other than that i dont know who purchased one recently.

i bought one from cylinder head developments, they were cheapest i could find.
