Sudden loss of power in gte engined nov?

Hi,i was out in the car for a drive last night and when i plant the boot hard as the car is accelarating usually higher in the revs it just suddenly loses all power and then it comes back again like a second later, as if the engine just stops all power then its ok again?

Also last night the car done it but cut out completley and when i started it up again it ran fine but still had the intermittent problem of cutting out completely when under hard gassing.

IDeas? thanx!

uprate your fuel pump or sheck that its working properly my rs had this problem just got a new fuel pump and it was fine 25 pound from ford

could be your airflow meter?? distributor or modules.

mines done someting similar for a while then the meter went.

so try a new one if u can to see if it is that!
