ther's not much weight diff.

The 8v and 16v use the same block i'm sure (that includes the 1800 block as same as 2.0).

Tho only diff would be the head i think.

I'd be very impressed if you have got 156bhp out of a 1.8.... but most people with redtops will be running 170bhp with a chip/filter/zuast

ok but you understand my scepticism about you getting 156 bhp out of a 1.8 with standard injection when they ran 115bhp from the factory.



Besides, you'd get your pants pulled down by a red top because of the TORQUE. the 1.8 hasn't got a lot of torque compared to the XE. BHP will give you a reasonable top speed. I had 143mph on the M1 on the way to trax 2001 with two of us in it (racing a metro!!)

chipped ecu
vernier pulley
boost valve
k&n airfilter
1.6 gear box

very quick bottom end but like most french cars not much torque or top end, need a rollin road when back from spray shop il post pics, just sold my nova
