if i was to say to you... Vauxhall Nova Lux H reg... would u say that was a mk1 or mk 2?

my query is.. did they make a mk1 nova lux?

is it true that the nova changed from mk1 2 mk2 on the h plate?

yes 91 was the changeover year as i have a 91 H reg MK2 (with mk1 bits that vaux left in production)

well, the current owner isnt sure if its a mk1 or mk2... and has no pics 2 e-mail 2 me so i cant take a look :(

but i dont wanna travel all the way just to see that its a mk1 as im after a mk2!

just ask if the front grille goes under the headlights and meets the arch under the indicators or not if it does its a mk2

All mk1's were made before the factory changeover to mk2, just registered late, not made from bit's left over.

Even a MK1 K-registered woulf have an older chassis number than a mk2 k reg...

so why do i have an opel engine (not in the vauges manual) , mk1 brakes (calipers were delco, and drums were the older type) ?? hmm

it might, as the mk2s were built with lesser grade metal than the mk1s

out of all of the nova's i see it's always the mk1's that have the cleanest bodywork

when i brought mine a couple of months ago the arches where tidy, now ive got bubbles! :(

looks like the spring will bring a spring to the body shop!
