hey, i'v seen people mesh a GSI grill before and they had to take lights and indicators out. iv got an SR (mk 1), thinking of meshing it and need to now what to do basicly. do i need to take lights out on mine, etc, etc?
any help would be great. cheers

You shouldn't have to take out your lights. The grill should have a couple of clips holding it in place inside the engine bay.

Once you've removed the clips take the grill out, cut out the slats in the grill, then put the mesh in its place. I used cable ties to keep the grill in place, some people use a bonding agent to keep it in place.

You don't need to take anything out apart from the grill

3 screws along the slam pannel then its out
i jus snipped at the edges of my slats with wire plires

on my mk1, i got a mk2 grill which was easyer to do then the mk1

this is how i did my '90 sr.

un-do the three bolts securing the grill and remove from car. this comprises of two parts, the frame of the grill, and the slats. u could cut the slats out or remove them like they where put in... with abit of heat. i used a soldering iron to melt where the plastics where fused 2geather and slight pulling pulls them apart. as 4 the mesh cut it 2 size then rough the inside of the frame where ur gonna attach the mesh with sand paper.get a hot glue gun and stick the mesh in.
