if i were to mix up head parts like a cam carrier of a gsi and a head of a gte and rockers off random 8v's would there be ant problems, cos im thinkin that the valves are being held open slightly all the time!
ive just fitted a c16se in replace of the c14se, i was assuming the wiring loom would be the same, and would just plug in, as it did. the new engine was turned over but would not start, or even kick before the battery died...
the question is that ive left a knocked/damaged crankshaft position sensor on and not changed it for the original 1.. if this is not working would this stop the engine starting???
