depends what you want to know. www.webmonkey.com and www.htmlgoodies.com are great for snippets of HTML and help with writing the code ...because frontpage and dreamweaver suck :P

Dreamweaver is shit hot.

I'm all for handcoding, but it takes out most of the tedious repetitive jobs.

Learn the basics - html and css (cascading style sheets) first. All you need is Notepad and Explorer.
