hi i cant find any topics bout this but im sure plenty of ya have done this. Is it easy to fit a corsa dash into a nova, how much more difficult is it to fit than a mk2 dash into a mk1?

cheers

The dash doesn't line up to the windscreen. You have to chop it around, and this can make or break the conversion.

The steering column on the nova is off-set so won't be straight

the column shrouds won't fit

digi dash doesn't fit in corsa binnacle without serious work

Do you want me to continue, cos it gets worse....

It can be done, but i've only ever seen one good one. I talked to the guy and he'd paid ?400 to have the dash re-trimmed in leather cos it looked crummy where he'd chopped bits off..... and the steering column STILL wasn't straight and the column shrouds weren't fitted right.....

Looked excellent through the car window, but whebn the dioor was open it looked bodge

It was fast car. this was the one I have seen. Looks great on (careful) pictures and through the window, but shoddy on close inspection.....

It's a big job, yet to be done correctly by someone with equal amounst of skill and money :D

ohh,,eerrr and limitless time and patience! :P

Good luck if you attempt it. I asked someone (who shall remain nameless but has built 3 mag feature cars and fitted over 10 16v egines into nova's) and even he said it'd be a nightmare job if you wanted it RIGHT!!

been thinkin about this for a while... to be honest i think u may as well make a custom dash by the time u've finish pratting around with a dash that will never sit right.... maybe if u smoothed all the texture off so u could smooth near the door recess and then tidy up the window edge and then u'd have to have it retrimmed which will be atleast ?500....

I'm gonna gofor custom building one to SAVE time... sounds silly but i just don't see it being worth the effort to still risk it looking like a bodge job at the end... don't think u'd ever really be happy with the finished article...

Gotta be said they look sweet from outside of the car

There was a Orange and Tan interiored one in Revs i think that didn't look bad but as u all say... carefull camera placement hides alot

Better go for corsa C if you're gonna do it anyway...

Unique! No-one has done that yet!!
