heater matrix coolant pipe 2l 16v

been having some trouble with my heater matrix coolant pipe, its the one on the left that u have to cut down... it keeps coming off!! any one else had a similar prob?? think its cos where its cut down theres no lip for the jubilee clip to bite behind if u no what i mean? any help appreciated need to get this sorted for saturdays meet :lol:

you dont cut it down, you 'bend' it down. The lip is necessary as the jubile clip sits behind it and when tightened physically cannot come off.

Not sure what to do. I would probably end up changin the matrix.

oops bit l8, i already cut it down (read on valvers.com that was best thing to do) what did u use to bend it down can u remove the pipe from the matrix to bend it?

While the engine is out, find a bar with a diameter the same as the inner diameter of the metal pipe. Insert it about an inch and gently bend down.
