XE Alternator Bracket Alternative

Hi,

Been told that you can use a Mk1 Astra GTE
alternator bracket for an XE Nova, anyone here
ever tried it ?

Apparantly the bracket is shorter & the chassis
rail doesn't require reshaping, any comments.....

no... if you moved it in any amount the belt would catch the cambelt cover .. it's close enough as it is
