After having several problems with the Hub setup on my Nova 2.0 Turbo Nova, including flanges Shearing, items being machined incorrectly so that there is too much play in bearing. I am getting a new Hub setup made for my Nova, these are been made by Lloyd Racing (http://www.lloydracing.com ).

These guys drive a Vectra Gsi in 24 Hour Endurance Races such as the Nurburgring event. They have developed a Hub assembly for their race Vectra after having problems with the original assemblies not being able to cope.

The hub setup they are making for me uses a original nova hub, machined out to take a much larger bearing ( bigger than the vr6 ones shown in the pics), and Hub Bearing cap as been machined. It will use the larger conversion shafts and Astra Inner and outer CV Joints.

The bearing cap has been produced to put back the strength that had been removed when the hub was machined Astra/Vectra flanges will be used but without anything machined from them. These therefore should be up to the task.

These are the pictures of the items that they are making for my Nova and will be able to make more of if people are interested.

There are no prices at the moment but as with anything the more interest the cheaper it will be. They will probably be made on an exchange basis plus flanges.

Send me a email or PM if you are interested and would like more information.

would it be advisable to use a corsa hub... very similar but has more webbing between the strut mounts and shaft hole? better to start with the best you can?

Yeah it's a possibility, i will get the guys some corsa hubs to have a look at to see what they think. Would be a bit hard on a exchange basis though..

Sorry to intrude, but I fitted a pair of Corsa Sport hubs to my Nova at the weekend, had the bearings pressed in etc.

But when I went to put the screw that holds the disc in place the screw would'nt go in, do you know whether this screw is different for the Corsa hub?

not that i know of.. prob been drilled out previously... or the thread is rusty.. get a tap and clean it out

Exactly what I thought, I could'nt imagine the thread being different.

Will have to get it cleaned up like you said. Is the screw an essential item though as I need to tow the car to my mechanics.

nope it's just to hold the disk on... or line it up if it's not a pefect fit on the hub

First pictures i have seen of the hubs, looking good andy.

Can back andy up and say these guys really know there stuff. Me, Andy and Rob D went down to there work shop and the amount of knowledge they have is amazing! I would recommend any product they produce, and i for one wont be going any where else for one-off parts.

Thanks to Rob for introducing us to them

I have known these guys for some time now and the quality of ther work is second to none. If you go to their website you will see that they have had extensive race exprerience. Andy and gareth are also quite well known in the racing vectra scene including people such as John Cleland asking them to do work on his cars.

The hubs that they are looking at producing have been talked about quite extensively with myself, andy and karl (thought it was about time to start posting guys) and the protetype is nearing completion know (you have seen pics).

Nice to see some positive comments from you guys.

Hope this is the end of my posting shyness

Firstly, Welcome Rob, been a fan of your car for ages now!

Looking good Andy, keep us updated on the progress. Pity i'm not fitting a valver yet, or i'd be very interested in this setup!
