i wont my mk2 dash sprayed in baby blue but will it flake?
if it dose
is there a lacker i can put on it to stop it from flakein?

depends what paint you use, and what bits you want to paint. If you use your run of the mill halfords stuff then it'll flake off unless you give it about 20 coats... and that's just on the solid plastic items like the dial surround etc. You can buy proper dash paint - but they usually come in only basic colours.

Afaik acrylic paint is pretty flexible - if you want it a specific colour, take a sample down an art shop and see if you can buy some colours to mix up and get the right one.

THE DASH PAINT WILL FLAKE EVENTUALLY MINE DID UP BY HEATER VENTS THE SUN SHRINKS IT ALL AND WRECKS IT I WOULD ADVISE COVERING DASH WITH FIBRE GLASS THEN SPRAYING

sprayed my dash blue not so long ago...
i used the standard acrylic stuff u would get in any D.I.T store.
i did give it about 3 coats then i used laquer - its fine now and looks good!

i painted mine too (6 coats and a few coats of laquer). Lasted a year before it started flaing in a few places. REALLY cant be bothered doing it again now. But obviously will have to.
