is a 1.2i a contact engine?

if a cam belt snapped on a 1.2i could it have bent valves?

my 1.2i has snapped its belt, put a new one on but seems to be sounding like its on 3cylinders?

may well have done... are all the rockers intact? have you done a compression check?

welllllllll weve measured one and it would suggest its a "safe" engine, but the timing belt book i have says that all GM engines are non safe ones


so youve got a 50/50 chance lol

i got away with shredding a belt on my 2.0 16v while smoking the tyres on the limiter round a roundabout in stoke 8)

my sis's b/f's G reg 1.6 Cavalier's cam belt snapped but it was fine with a new one, no damage.

Whats the engine code for one anyway, is it the same as GTE (E16SE)?
