Valver wiring question

Ive got the wiring loom from a h plate astra gte, and need to know what wires i need to connect to the nova loom?

Theres a plug which has about 5-6 wires going to it, one of them being quite a chunky red power cable, is this the main power to the loom?

Also what would the other wires be for? switchable live etc?

Any help appreciated.

right what i did on mine id the big red one goes to the batery,

the brown one is for the earth, connect to the gearbox earth,

blue and red is for the fuel pump which needs to be extended to the fuel pump at the back or were ever u have it!!

the green is for ur rev counter if u have one

and the black is for the ignition which should be on the end of old nova loom!!

its ok mate, hope that helps!! but with mine the blue and red wire wasnt the fuel pump but was the same colour so i run a wire off the back of the fuel pump relay to the fuel pump!!

valver loom doesn't have external ground.. it's grounded by the fuel rail

yeah but isnt the brown one needed on the end of the valver loom then??

mine must of been different to yours then, mines a cav gsi loom and it had a brown wire for the earth

Right, ive had another look at the plug, and the wires dont seem to tie up with wot has been said so far. These are the wires i have on the plug

Large red

Medium black/yellow

Medium Blue

Small blue/red

Small green

Small white

Small Blue/Brown

Hope someone can shed some light on these.

Medium black/yellow < switched live

Medium Blue < fuel pump

Small blue/red < speed sender

Small green < rev counter

Small white < fuel computer

Small Blue/Brown < ecu light

i aint wired up the small blue/red, white and the blue and brown!! will it matter??it runs fine and the speedo on my digi dash works!!
