hey ppl
heres the problem
i just bought a 1.3sr
it does 0-60 in about 10 secs on a flat
at about 75 it stops to slow the acceleration at around 100ish your basically atthe mercy of the road slope for acceleration to what i have as a top speed of around 115 where the engine is gona blow now then...

a m8 suggested webber twin carbs and a kent cam with performance exhaust if i got money left over

how much of a different will this lot make im after 0-60 in 7/8 secs and pure power till around 110 ad a top speed of 125-130 will these mods be enough do you tink a new gearbox would help ?

The top speed of a standard 1.3sr is only 105mph, i cant see you getting it in the low 8's either unless your prepaired to spend serious cash.

ive got a 32/34 on my 1.4 - very rapid acceleration (when ran) - and great induction roar.

agree with dave - 1.6 on t40 carbs!

ppl do this on 1400 engines as the 1400 has a restricted head........... your top end is more effected by gearing than power allthough both of these matter. u can to drive at 130mph then fit ur cam and carbs and source an F10 WR i think there is one, then u can have nice long cruising gears and after abt 5/6 miles flat out on the m'way u will reach 130.......... maybe, lol

or just buy a gsi that does 130 standard.............. on nova clocks anyway

1.2 head rasies compression on 1.3

on the 1.4 it raises it even more and is much better flowed....

maybe i should get my 1.4 on the rr
