One Off Dash

Going to start re-designing a mk2 one.

Just wondered if anyone has done one?

I seem to remember a member called gaz (maybe from southend) doing the same thing?!

yea gaz with the ornage nova had ago but gave up hes selling his car at the mo,

im currently in the middle of redesing a mk2 dash been working on it about 8 weeks or so jsu doin bits n bobs here n there

its harder than you think. I'm planning mine at the moment - plan to make it in foam then take a paper mache mould of it, seal with varnish and take a fibreglass cast from it.

You need to be very specific about what you want it to look like coz you'll probably have to butcher your dash (or a replacement) as well as do some rewiring to ensure everything fits where you want it too...

Do lots and lots of drawings from lots of angles...

ade, you can cast a fibreglass mould straight from the foam if you get the right stuff.

think cfs do it.

make sure you have a good sander lol, i set mine on fire when i did that and had to buy a new one :roll:

yes the sander went on fire in the bedroom lol. ive never shit it quite so much but what the hell are student houses for :lol:
