Ive had this idea in my head for long time now, but now i have decided to do something about it. I have GTE shell, a 3.5 litre rover V8 and many other parts. I am half way through making the rear axle, its going to be rather wide to say the least. Although lots of people dont seem to think its possible im gonna give it a go, ive worked out pretty much everything that will need to be done an it isnt easy but its something i want to see done.
Im tried of seeing so many novas with 2lt 16v in, not that they are bad just that there are a lot and i fancy something different, plus there isnt a sound in the world that even comes close to the sound of a V8.
Sure most of you will think im an arse for trying such a thing but its what ive always whated to do. I'll try to get some pictures up as it progresses.

basically i have nothing to lose, i have a knacker shell an im going to use this to cut up and work out mounting points and how much the bulk head steering rack ect has to be moved back. Then if all goes well i shall put it in the 5 door.

Steering should be easy to sort. Just requires a few scrap yeard missions.....

im aiming for just a track car first time round, find out all the faults ect... but if it all goes well then i shal transfer it all into the 5 door which is going to be road legal. First though was to put the engine in then back but then i decide to keep it in the front. Will get some picture as soon as i can find my camera.
