I got the boot popping solenoids from two cars at the local scrapyard and used them. I used waterproof switches from maplin which i fitted underneith my wing mirrors. Piece of piss

makes absolutely no dofference. the solenoids dont even have to exert a lot of pressure.

get the on'es from Maplins for ?7.50, they're more than enough for the job.

alternatively, the central locking one's already in novas (with that as a feature) work just as well.
