If I get a 1.0L carbed Nova, can I put a 2.0L cavalier engine in?
I have been reading some post saying that its easier to do the conversion on an injection car as it has the correct fuel system already in place. is this true?
Or is it only true if you want to put a 2.0L injection engine in?
Do Vauxhall make a 2.0L carb?
what is involved in fitting the injection fuel system?
What sort of bhp can you expect from a 2.0L nova?
Cheers

The 8 valve involes less work than the 16 valve,
As far as i know the petrol tant and fuel lines will need changing for gsi items.
2.0 16v = 150 bhp (Redtop)
2.0 8V = 115 bhp or 130 bhp depending on the engine, 130 engine will be from a cav sri 130.
All 3 engines are ver tunable.
What about if you stuck carbs, e.g. webers on the 2.0?

you need webber 45 DCOE's or similar.
yes it would be very advisable. great gains, LURVELY burbling noise. and no injection sh!t to wire in worry about or mess with!

i cant see how its less work, but tuning costs much less

less work for carbs? or less work for 8v ?
i know its not that simple. but carbs basically bolt on in theory.
injection needs wiring..... electric pumps..... blah blah.
if its the 8v / 16v debate. then id say they both as bad as one another.... i find 8v easyier to work with purely cos you have more free space than red top, but thats my personal opinion.
Agreed the 16v's may be more awkward but still same amount of work needed and more gains to be had.
